IRCTC launches organized trips for pilgrims and tourist sites

Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) announced a large number of organized trips to various pilgrimage and tourist destinations to promote domestic tourism, from various cities of Telanagana and Andhra Pradesh. The details were released at a press conference by the group’s chief executive, D. Narasinga Rao.

Special pilgrim tourist trains include Vibrant Gujarat (SCZPSTT) covering places like Somnath – Dwarka – Nageshwar – Bet Dwarka – Ahmedabad – Statue of Unity. The tour takes place from January 21 to 31 with embarkation and disembarkation at Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajahmundary, Samalkot, Tuni and Visakhapatnam. The cost per head for the standard sleeper class is 10,400 and the three-stage air conditioning comfort class is 17,330. Accommodation will be in dharamsala rooms and dormitories for non-air conditioned passengers. For AC travelers, this will be at non-AC hotels on a double or triple multiple share basis.

The rate includes morning tea / coffee, vegetarian meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and one liter of drinking water per day, road transfers without air conditioning, and sightseeing tours.

The Bharat Darshan train package includes Gracious Goa (SCZBD-39) through Hampi from February 12-18 with embarkation and disembarkation at Anakapalle, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Khammam, Warangal and Secunderabad. The fare for the standard sleeper class is 6,220 and the comfort category 3AC is 8,090

The Uttar Bharat Darshan Tour with Mata Vaishno Devi will take place March 19-27 covering Agra, Amritsar, Hardiwar, Mathura and Vaishno Devi. Embarkation and disembarkation stations can be found at Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Tuni, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam. The standard sleeper class fare is 8,150 and the 3AC comfort fare is 10,400.

IRCTC rail tour packages from Hyderabad include ‘Govindam’ covering Tirumala, Tiruchanur and Tirupati, daily, with a fare from 3,690 per person; “Poorva Sandhya” covering Kanipakam-Srikalahasti-Tirumala-Tiruchanur daily for ₹ 4,930 per head; Coastal Karnataka covering Murudeshwara-Sringeri-Udupi, every Tuesday with a rate above 9,660 per person; Divine Karnataka covering Dharmashatala-Mangalore-Sringeri-Udupi, every Tuesday at 10,380 per person and Koffee with Karnataka covering Coorg-Mangalore, every Tuesday, for 9,230 per person.

There are also others like “Vijay Govindam” from Vijaywada covering Tirumala-Tiruchanur-Tirupati, every Friday at 3410; From Rajahmundry and Samalkot, every Friday for 3,690; ‘Saptagiri’ from Karimnagar, covering Kanipakam, Srikalahasti, Tirumala, Tiruchanur every Thursday, at 4,970 per person.

The package includes Tirumala Balaji Sheegra Darshan tickets for all packages to Tirupati, confirmed train tickets, hotel accommodation in air-conditioned rooms, all air-conditioned bus transfers and sightseeing tours with travel insurance, but only breakfast is covered in food. The vacation travel concession is available on all tour packages.
